Tune Up

A tune up consists of removing and replacing the spark plugs, replacing the air filter and fuel filter, checking the pvc valve, cleaning or replacing it, adjusting the timing if required, visual inspection of fan belts, hoses, oil leaks, and reporting it to the owner. Also the vehicle should be put on an engine analyzer to test the ign. wires and the emissions should be checked to specs. If out of specs the o2 sensor, EGR valve, or sensors that pertain to the emissions should be replaced, including repairs of vacuum hoses.
Symptoms
BAD FUEL ECONOMY: With the prices of fuel on the rise, you definitely don't need the hassle of constantly having to refill your tank because your ride's wasting too much gas. If you notice a decline on your vehicle's fuel efficiency, then your auto needs a tune-up ASAP.
EXHAUST PROBLEMS: When checking your auto's exhaust emissions, is it appearing denser or does it smell more pungent? Is your car releasing large clouds of white, bluish or dark smoke?
ENGINE PINGING, ROUGH-RUNNING and KNOCKING: Do you hear knocking and pinging from your exhaust or under your hood each time you drive? Is your engine running rougher these days? (A rough-running engine presents itself best when your vehicle is idling).
If you answered yes to any of the questions listed above, or if you are experiencing problems with your vehicle's fuel efficiency, then you need to conduct an auto tune-up as soon as you can.
